So I ventured out into the world of horror movies and watched 30 Days of Night with Josh Hartnett and let met just say that this is one of the better vampire movies out there. Granted it is no Blade, but it really is suspenseful. A quick synopsis:
An Alaskan town is about to lose daylight for 30 days when a stranger arrives in town. They lock him up, and things start to get vandalized. All of the sled dogs are put down, and people are fearful. Just then the power goes out, and the local police man (Josh Hartnett) tries to boot it back up. The worker is dead, and the killer is on the lose.
Then the screams come, and boom you’re knee-deep in vampire horror. The clan basically feeds on the town for a handful of days, and a few survivors try and band together to last out the sun-drought, only to find each day more and more troublesome.
Disclaimer: This is a very gory movie, so keep that in mind before watching it with Jr. !
Overall, i’d give it 4 stars out of 5. Be sure to catch the un rated version; its worth it!
